Reference

Know your control panel

Every poster has the same control panel on the back. Four of these ports are used during assembly: Power In, Power Out, HDMI IN, and HDMI OUT.

Power In (blue) sits on the left and Power Out (white) on the right. HDMI IN and HDMI OUT carry the video signal between posters.

Unpack

1Unload the posters from the flight cases

Roll each poster out of its flight case. Every poster stands on a wheeled base, so you can move it into position without lifting it.

Open the case and lower the ramp to roll the posters out. Spare parts and cords are stored in the top compartments, marked with red arrows.

Stand up

2Stand each poster up and lock it

Stand the poster fully upright. At the middle seam there are two locks. Turn each one to the locked position with the Allen key to hold the poster rigid in the upright position.

Order

3Align the posters Right to Left

Find the numbered label on the back of each poster. Set them side by side in order from Right to Left: 1, 2, 3, 4, following the arrows on the labels. This order matters, the posters wire and display in this sequence.

WHY ORDER MATTERS

Poster 1 must be on the Right. The ViPlex Handy "From Right" mosaic setting builds the picture starting from poster 1. See the Poster & Booth Kit programming manual.

Join

4Join the posters together

Unfold the magnetic trim along the inside edge of each poster to expose the locks underneath. There are four locks on each edge. Push the posters together and lock all four locks along each shared seam.

UNEVEN FLOORS

If the floor is uneven and the edges will not line up, raise or lower the adjustable casters to level the posters before locking them together.

Power

5Connect the main power

Plug the 10ft main power cable into the blue Power In port on the back of poster 1. Plug the other end into a dedicated 20A, 120V circuit.

POWER REQUIREMENT

Feed the wall from a dedicated 20A, 120V circuit. Do not share the circuit with other high-draw equipment.

Chain

6Daisy-chain power and video

Now link the posters together, one to the next, down the row. Do the power chain first, then the video chain.

Power: take a power-link jumper. Plug the white end into Power Out on the right side of poster 1 and the blue end into Power In on poster 2. Repeat down the line until every poster has power.

Video: plug an HDMI cord into HDMI OUT on poster 1 and into HDMI IN on poster 2. Continue down the line until all four posters are chained together.

If something is off

Troubleshooting

No power to a poster

Check the jumper: white end in Power Out, blue end in Power In. Confirm the main cable is in poster 1 and the circuit is live.

One poster is dark on the wall

Check the HDMI chain into that poster. HDMI OUT of the previous poster must go to HDMI IN of the dark one.

Edges will not line up

Level the posters with the adjustable casters before locking the seam. Uneven floors are the usual cause.

Gap at a seam

Make sure the magnetic trim is folded back and all four edge locks are engaged and turned to the locked position.

Poster will not stay upright

Both middle-seam locks must be turned to the locked position to hold the poster rigid.

Breaker trips

The wall needs its own 20A, 120V circuit. Move other equipment off the circuit.
